How You Can Contribute
Volunteers
Our volunteers perform a variety of tasks, some of which are;
- Separating of donated items
- Sorting of clothing
- Cleaning of bric a brac (plates, cups, kitchenware etc)
- Placing of priced items on shop floor
- Ensuring our warehouse is kept in a clean and presentable state
Connected Inc is always looking for volunteers, if you think this is something that might interest you, please email us at info@connectedinc.org.au we would love to chat with you.
We especially support older workers who still have obligations with Centrelink under “Mutual Obligations”, which typically involve volunteering 15 hours per week.
Disability Volunteers
Connected Inc has close working relationships with individuals from a disability background that attend our facility with their Support Worker. They are engaged in meaningful tasks that are essential in the day to day operation of our Charity.
Our goals are to ensure they know they are valued as an essential part of our team and to facilitate opportunities for them to engage in social and interpersonal activities that they may otherwise would not have had the opportunity if they were not attending at Connected Inc.
Item Donations
Connected Inc accepts all donations that are in good condition, and that can be readily sold within our OP Shop, or donated to a worthy recipient.
This includes:
- Clothing
- Manchester
- Furniture
- Electrical items in working order
- Kitchenware
- Toys and more..
We do not accept:
- Infant Car Seats
- Exercise Equipment
Sponsorships
Our mission statement is “to enhance the lives of the disadvantaged and those experiencing crisis by empowering people back into their community and to restore dignity to their lives”
We receive no government funding or support from any other organisation.
Connected Inc hopes to attract sponsors (none at present) and partnerships with like minded businesses who have a passion and commitment to supporting our community in so many different and positive ways.
If you own a business, or know someone, who may wish to explore sponsoring Connected Inc, please contact our Warehouse and Retail Manager, Wayne Malmstone at waynem@connectedinc.org.au
As mentioned else where in this website, Connected Inc is a registered Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR, Category One). This means donors can deduct the amount of their donation from their taxable income when they lodge their tax return.
